You will be seen by a dermatologist. Dermatologists are medical experts in skin, including cancer and skin disease, who will guide you through any problem with your skin, including hair and nail disease.
Skin Cancer
Modern, surgical and non-surgical treatments for melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, including early diagnosis, ongoing after care and prevention.
Medical Dermatology
Involves the diagnosis and management of skin diseases, rashes and other skin complains. Symptoms can reflection part of a more systemic illness. Common skin conditions include eczema, psoriasis, acne, autoimmune and connective tissue diseases.
Clinicopathological Correlation
A small number of dermatologists are trained in skin pathology. Working with clinicians and pathologists to interpret skin biopsies and skin specimens.
Meet Dr. Nick Turnbull: Your Trusted Dermatology Expert in Auckland
Dr. Nick Turnbull (BHB MBChB, FRACP, ICDP-UEMS) is a Dermatologist and Dermatopathogist. His dermatology training was undertaken in Auckland and completed in London. He obtained his Fellowship in Dermatopathology in Warwick, England. He has been awarded an honorary senior lecturer for the University of Auckland and was awarded the title of Distinguished Clinical Teacher in 2024. His particular interests are skin cancer, medical dermatology, male genital dermatology, research and clinical trials. He works in public and private practice.
